Privacy policy

The short version: we run a publishing website, not a data business. We collect as little as possible, nothing loads before you consent, and we never sell data.

Who we are

HomeReadyPower (homereadypower.co.uk) is published by the Hitchens Group, a UK sole trader business. For data protection purposes the publisher is the data controller. Contact: hello@homereadypower.co.uk.

What we collect, and when

  • Nothing, by default. Reading this site does not require an account, and no analytics or advertising scripts load unless you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand which guides are useful. You can withdraw consent at any time (see the cookie policy).
  • Anonymous link counts. When an outbound shop link is clicked we count the click against the page it was on. This count contains no identifier, no cookie and nothing about you.
  • Email, if you write to us or subscribe. If you email us we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it. If you join our email list we store your address solely to send you what you signed up for, and every email contains an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent personal data to anyone.
  • We never load tracking before you have consented.
  • We never require an account to read the site.

Third parties

When you click through to a retailer (for example Amazon or a manufacturer's own store), you leave this site and that retailer's privacy policy applies. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies on the retailer's domain to attribute the sale; this is described in our affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@homereadypower.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with an updated date at the foot of the page.
